The Federal Mortgage Fraud Task Force is looking for crooked mortgage brokers, dishonest real estate brokers and cheating home buyers and real estate investors. You will next see what is called a parting bead which is a small trim piece about 1/2 inch by 3/4 inch in size partially buried in the window casing. It separates the two sashes. I recommend replacing these and you will find they are very difficult to remove without splintering them. If you are repairing the window and not installing new side tracks you must replace the parting beads. The upper sash and weight removal is the same as the bottom. Don't forget to open the sash pockets at the bottom of the upper sash tracks as well to allow sash weight removals. With sash, weights, nails and pulleys removed, clean all loose paint from remaining surfaces and if your sure it is not lead paint, some sanding may be in order as well.

Park your vehicle in a garage or under a shelter. If possible, park your vehicle in an area where it will be insulated from the harsh environment. This will not only protect it from ice but from falling limbs or other hazards fix auto glass this time of year.

However, before asking for an entire replacement that could cost hundreds, consider a few different types of solutions to fix the windshield. Look into a windshield chip repair kit. You can get one with enough materials for multiple chips or you can also buy a disposable kit with a syringe that is tossed after one time.

If you are using a system repair disc, boot the PC with that. Otherwise, after your PC has finished its BIOS sequence, hold down the F8 key. Choose Repair Your Computer from the Advanced Boot Options screen (below) and tap Enter.

After removing the film, use a hard object that won't scratch the glass to remove excess resin. Something like a plastic scraper or piece of wood, such as a popsicle stick should do the trick.
